The oleanders in “Penelopé’s Garden” bloom in pink: their delicate pink and white flowers sway in the warm Tuscan summer breeze. Laetita’s garden carries the scent of a bygone era.

It is inspired by antique wall paintings, whose patina and soft glow touched me deeply during my studies – witnesses to a beauty that has endured for centuries.

The background of this work was created in countless layers, which were built up and removed again and again to create a look as if from another time
