The endless lavender fields, stretching to the horizon , glow in a rich purple… the scent of lavender is in the air: it’s that very special peace and magic of Provence that I’ve loved so much since I was a child! We had the best vacations in the south of France, we always stayed with my family on an old vineyard in the middle of the countryside, where there wasn’t a house to be seen for miles around! There was a light breeze all day, all you could hear was the chirping of the cicadas and the rustling of the leaves in the wind! A very special lightness with excursions to beautiful old villages, small markets with regional delicacies and I’m really looking forward to going there again this year after many years! My latest picture from the South of France series is also inspired by this very special atmosphere…like the yellow of the first lemons in spring!
